Santa Comes to the St. George Community!

The Garcia Roofing crew had a great time partnering with the St George Fire Department on December 6th, December 7th, and December 10th to collect toys for their annual toy drive.

Every year, the fire department takes joy in bringing Santa around the area on top of fire engines and collects non-perishable food and newly unwrapped toys for those in need.

The night was spent going around different neighborhoods like Country Club of Louisiana, University Club Plantation, and more to collect canned goods and new, unopened toys behind the St. George Fire Department fire trucks. Everything gathered was brought to The Society of St. Vincent DePaul Organization.

This isn’t the first year that Garcia Roofing has been a part of this beautiful opportunity to give back to the community. Our company has participated for many years, but we unfortunately had to put this event on hold in 2020 and 2021. So, when the opportunity came back again this year, we knew we had to be involved again!

The St. George Fire Department is a career organization that protects and serves over 100,000 people. The Department covers more than 83 square miles.

Since 1865, The Society of St. Vincent DePaul has been actively striving to understand and fulfill the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas.
